Crying for a Vision
Crying For A Vision
In the 1970’s I took a year’s leave of absence from Creighton for a project on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. I lived in Spring Creek, South Dakota, a small village with about 150 residents, mostly Lakota speakers. There I worked on a documentary project among the students and people I had met when I taught at St. Francis Indian Mission in the early 60’s. The book, Crying for a Vision, and subsequent exhibit was the result of the year’s work on the Reservation.
