Noah and Emily were very good friends. Noah gave me one of his son's Indian names. "Wahacankayapi" which roughly translates as "He who shields them" because as he said, "people feel safer when you are in town."

Freddie Walking Eagle with his father, Harvey’s World War II medals for bravery. Harvey was killed when he attempted to break up a fight between his sons and a neighbor.

Harvey Walking Eagle was very popular and had a great sense of “Lakota” humor. His long funeral procession is being led by a horse drawn wagon carrying his casket.
